Quietdrive released their debut album When All That's Left Is You on May 30, 2006 on Epic Records. As of April 2008, Quietdrive has parted with Epic Records and released their newest album, titled Deliverance, on October 14, 2008 with the Militia Group.In ninth grade, Brandon Lanier started telling Droo Hastings that he was a great drummer, and that they should start a band with him and his friend Justin Bonhiver. Initially the band was a trio with Hastings as lead singer and bass guitar, Lanier playing drums, and Bonhiver on guitar. The band posted an audition for a lead singer on MP3.com. Kevin Truckenmiller entered the band after submitting his solo work, including an early incarnation of the song Both Ways. Matt Kirby began attending Saint John's University with Truckenmiller. The group eventually joined together and formed in 2002 under the name "Sneaker 2 Bombs," a hard rock band which reflected the evolving Minneapolis local music scene.
Buck-Tick is a Japanese rock band consisting of five members: Atsushi Sakurai on vocals, Hisashi Imai on guitars, backing vocals, noises and theremin, Hidehiko Hoshino on guitars and backing vocals, Yutaka Higuchi on bass, and Yagami Toll on drums. They originally formed in 1984 and have been almost continuously active since then. Over the course of their career, the band have experimented with many different genres of music, including positive punk, post-punk style, new-wave, goth, industrial, electronica, and straight rock-n-roll. Along with X Japan, Buck-Tick are commonly credited as one of the founders of the visual kei movement. In addition to their long, productive career as a band, the five members have worked on individual projects and collaborated with many other famous artists, both Japanese and foreign, including Maki Fujii (of Soft Ballet), Issay (of Der Zibet), Kiyoshi (of Spread Beaver) and (Media Youth), Masami Tsuchiya (formerly of Ippu-do), Raymond Watts (of PIG), Sascha Konietzko (of KMFDM), Clan of Xymox, Robin Guthrie (of the Cocteau Twins), Cube Juice, and Kelli Ali (formerly of Sneaker Pimps).
"Spin Spin Sugar" is a 1997 single released by Sneaker Pimps from their 1996 debut album Becoming X. The album version is in true Sneaker Pimps style and format. There is a driving bass line produced by synthesizer keyboard. As the bass drives there is a second synth loop playing above. The track continues for approximately 3 minutes and 31 seconds. The song was featured in The Girl Next Door soundtrack in its Radio Edit form. A music video was made for the Radio Edit and features the band mates in what appears to be a highly colorized motel room. The song was further popularized by a remix by Armand van Helden. The remix appears in Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2 and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.
