This is the first in a series of books and audio/video recordings which describe a simple and pragmatic approach to improvisation. The accompanying recording has been designed for use in conjunction with each of the chapter assignments. There are nine tunes for you to play along with, each played at a slow and then medium tempo featuring Garry Dial on piano, Dave Santoro on bass and Alan Dawson on drums, plus 12 demonstration tracks performed by the author on piano and/or tenor saxophone. Debut-Album mit einem frischen Hybriden aus Jungle, Grime und Techno.nnDebut-Album mit einem frischen Hybriden aus Jungle, Grime und Techno. 'Better Strangers' is the debut album by Manchester based producer Acre, set for release by Tectonic Recordings on 6th November 2015. The album follows EPs on both Tectonic and sister label Cold Recordings and Visionist's PAN collaboration label Codes. As influenced by rave & jungle, grime and techno as electronica, ambient and drone, his EP releases have been rhythm driven snapshots of other-worldliness spliced with dancefloor sensibilities. Acre has sought to explore a wider variety of textures on 'Better Strangers', to re-contextualise elements from UK bass music, bring them away from the dancefloor and open up new possibilities. Hailing from the Hudson Valley of New York, Tallesen - born Cayman Johnson - describes Stills as a response to the continuous flexibility of the physical setting by the additive of sound. A reference to his joyful erasure of the distinction between music and experience. The twelve songs of Stills Lit Through conjure an eidolon of melodies painted with watercolor brushstrokes both calm and frenetic. To our ears, this closely characterizes Johnson's work as a visual artist. The collection when taken as a whole is wonderfully consistent. We hear echoes of Autechre's corporeal maneuvers (bass as lead voice, plasticity of foreground vs. background), but, if you dig out the provenance of Johnson's nom de plume, you really start to understand how the melodic through-lines of the record operate on a more illustrative level. Die Ambient & Elektronika 90er Legende mit dem ersten Album seit 15 Jahren! 1xLP, 180gr Vinyl, Cover in drei Pantone-Farben, incl free MP3 downloadnnDie Ambient & Elektronika 90er Legende mit dem ersten Album seit 15 Jahren! This Time Last Year is the sixth album by UK electronic duo ULTRAMARINE (Ian Cooper & Paul Hammond), and their first full-length release for 15 years. Featuring all-new material and recorded in the band's isolated studio on the edge of the Essex marshes, the album ebbs and flows in mood like the nearby Blackwater estuary. Working with a palette of vintage drum machines, analogue synths, textural samples, acoustic recordings, electric bass & heavily treated guitar, the songs were born out of captured live studio performances. Cooper & Hammond then rewired their initial sketches through a series of hands-on, lo-fi effects chains, blurring the edges between acoustic & electronic elements. The result is an organic, playful feel, leaving the music room to breathe and carrying distinct echoes of the band's previous work. BIOGRAPHY Ultramarine are the London/Essex-based duo of Ian Cooper & Paul Hammond. Formed in 1989, the band's early records were released by the seminal Belgian label Les Disques du Crépuscule. Ultramarine released five albums during the 1990s including the highly-acclaimed ambient techno/house classic Every Man And Woman Is A Star (Rough Trade, 1992), United Kingdoms (Blanco Y Negro, 1993), featuring writing collaborations with Robert Wyatt, and Bel Air (Blanco Y Negro, 1995). After a prolific decade, including full American and European tours with Björk and Orbital, Ultramarine went on a long sabbatical following the release of their fifth album A User's Guide (New Electronica, 1998). After a 13-year absence they resurfaced with two new singles in late 2011 on Real Soon and WNCL Recordings, fully rested and ready for action. Electronica includes a wide range of contemporary electronic music designed for a wide range of uses, including foreground listening, some forms of dancing, and background music for other activities, however, unlike electronic dance music, it is not specifically made for dancing. The term was first used in the United States in the early 1990s with regards to post-rave global-influenced electronic dance music. Genres such as techno, drum and bass, downtempo, and ambient are among those encompassed by the umbrella term, entering the American mainstream from "alternative" or "underground" venues during the late 1990s. Prior to the adoption of electronica for this purpose, terms such as electronic listening music, and intelligent dance music (IDM) were used. Allmusic categorises electronica as a top-level genre on their main page, where they state that electronica includes "dozens of stylistic fusions" ranging from danceable grooves to music for headphones and chillout areas. Electronica has grown to influence mainstream crossover recordings.
High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Dub is either an instrumental subgenre of reggae music, or a separate genre of music that involves revisions of existing songs. The dub sound consists predominantly of instrumental remixes of existing recordings and is achieved by significantly manipulating and reshaping the recordings, usually by removing the vocals from an existing music piece, emphasizing the drum and bass frequencies or, in other words, 'riddim', adding extensive echo and reverb effects, panoramic LR delay, and dubbing occasional snippets of lyrics or instruments from the original version. Sometimes, dub also features melodica melody. Dub was pioneered by Osbourne Ruddock, Lee Perry, Errol Thompson and others in the late 1960s. Similar experiments with recordings at the mixing desk were also done by producers Clive Chin and Herman Chin Loy. These producers, especially Ruddock and Perry, looked upon the mixing desk as an instrument, manipulating tracks to come up with something new and different.

Michael James Williams, c.1944, Spanish Town, Jamaica, d. 15 September 1983, Kingston, Jamaica) was a reggae deejay, producer and a Rastafarian. Williams' first job in the music industry was as a deejay on the Sir Mike the Musical Dragon sound system, also working as a security guard at Joe Gibbs' studio, and later as a bouncer at Studio One, but after recording "The Great Booga Wooga" for Bunny Lee in 1969 (under the name King Cry Cry - a reference to his habit of breaking into tears when angered), he got the chance in 1970 to record for Coxsone Dodd when King Stitt failed to turn up for a session. Dodd was sufficiently impressed to release the resulting recordings, Williams now using the name Prince Far I at the suggestion of another producer he had worked with, Enos McLeod). With a unique deep bass voice and talking over style, preferring to describe himself as a "chanter" rather than a "toaster", he became a popular reggae musician, styling himself "The Voice of Thunder".

They got their name from Ulan Bator, the capital city of Mongolia. They create lengthy instrumental music with influence from industrial and krautrock bands like Can, Neu! and Faust. Amaury Cambuzat (vocals, guitar) and Olivier Manchion (bass) began to play together in 1987. While in Paris in 1993, they formed Ulan Bator with drummer Franck Lantignac. They built a recording studio in an unused chalk mine and recorded their first three albums there: "Ulan Bator", "2 Degrees", and "Vegetale". In 1996 they began a long relationship with krautrock band Faust during a French tour. The first meeting of Zappi W. Diermaier and Jean-Hervé Péron (of Faust) and Olivier Manchion and Amaury Cambuzat (of Ulan Bator) was recently released as Collectif Metz/Faust. Ulan Bator performed in prestigious festivals such as Les Transmusicales de Rennes, Roskilde. Their albums "Polaire"and "Vegetale" plus multiple live recordings were released in Italy by CPI.
