Einflüsse von Neil Young, Elliott Smith und Half Japanese. Produziert von Chris Potter (The Verve) und Paul Butler (The Bees, Devendra Banhart, St Paul & Broken Bones)nnTipped by many to become one of the most exciting and unique British guitar bands of the decade off the back of rapturous critical acclaim, Pale Seas, on the eve of the release of a long-anticipated debut album, simply disappeared. No hiatus announcement, no press release, nothing. For the following three years the band, led by enigmatic frontman Jacob Scott alongside Graham Poole (Lead Guitar), Matthew Bishop (Bass) & Andrew Richardson (Drums), emitted no signal, instead embarking upon a period of prolonged isolation, rejecting the industry and the outside world to hole themselves away inside a medieval abbey in most remote Isle of Wight. To capture their expansive sound and enhance it further the band enlisted the help of producer Chris Potter (The Verve, Urban Hymns) & Paul Butler (Michael Kiwanuka, Devendra Banhart & The Bees), with whom the band had begun their journey 5 years previously. Scott is influenced by Neil Young, Elliott Smith and Half Japanese but it s not been music that s shaped who he is as an artist. His mother, a painter, was a much bigger influence. I learned more from growing up with her than I have from music. She found a way to channel her life experiences into something beautiful and real. To see that, to witness someone so close to you turning their life in to art was, to me, more powerful than hearing any band play. TRACKS: 1. Into The Night 2. My Own Mind 3. Someday 4. In A Past Life 5. Blood Return 6. Bodies 7. Stargazing for Beginners 8. Animal Tongue 9. Heal Slow 10. Evil Is Always One Step Behind

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Wheatus was formed by Brendan B. Brown in 1995. Brown wrote a few songs, enlisted the help of his brother Peter on drums and Rich Liegey on bass. The band regularly performed at Luna Lounge and were one of the first groups to emerge out of the lower east side NYC downtown music scene. In 1999, they hired New York attorney Ray Maiello to shop their self produced debut album and signed with Kevin Patrick at Columbia Records, shortly thereafter, Maiello was hired as band manager. Brown''s favorite song to play is "From Listening To Lightning" Wheatus'' first and largest hit was "Teenage Dirtbag," which charted at 2 in the UK. Their second single "A Little Respect" also reached high chart positions, and was another top-3 hit for the band on the UK singles chart. Their third single, a double A-side of "Leroy" and "Wannabe Gangstar", was recorded at Abbey Road in the famed studio 2. The single consequently didn''t perform as well as the first 2, reaching twenty-third in the UK singles chart.
